What I Want to Say

Hello! I hope you are enjoying this advent season as we await for the arrival of our Lord.

You know, the internet is just buzzing with information regarding the dangers of the pill and other artificial contraceptives. It is also putting out it's fair share of info on Natural Family Planning. I came across this article about a GYN in Michigan who is a huge promoter of NFP. I can't help but say how incredibly jealous I am of Michigan. However, I am holding out so much hope that one day we will have one of those God-sends in Nashville.

I also found this video after reading about Dr. Greene (the GYN). How can we get this information out to people? I wish I knew the answer, but what I do know is that we can consider ourselves lucky. Lucky that God has given us the grace to learn about NFP, use it, and support others who use it also.

On the other hand, we must show Christian love to those who have still not discovered NFP's multiple benefits and blessings. I know it's hard. Especially when we are laughed at and told, "NFP doesn't work! Look at you. You have 6 kids! It didn't work for you!" That has to be my least favorite remark. What do you say to that? It reminds me of Marie Bellet's song, What I wanted to say.

What I want to say is, I have 6 children because NFP did work for me.

On another note I wanted to share with you some information about the three ladies who will be leading my NFP certification training at the St. Cecilia Mother House in January. First, is Mercedes Wilson. What an honor it will be to be in her presence. I don't mean to sound mushy, but she has an amazing history in the NFP world. Next is Judith Leonard. Scroll down here and read her letter to the editor. AMAZING!!! Last but not least is Maria del Pilar Calva Mercado. Not to mention I will be surrounded by the Dominican Sisters of Nashville.

What a gift! God is good!! This is an experience that I will not be taking for granted. I cannot wait to serve the Nashville Diocese in this role, God Willing.

I have always felt that as a Catholic woman, I have a right to Catholic healthcare. It is unfair that I have am slam-basted with 'pill posters' every time I go to the doctor. This would be so awesome for Nashville. We can make this happen!!

Great things are coming...

Hello Nashville!!!

I know I am getting ahead of myself here, but what's new? By the end of January I will be a certified Natural Family Planning instructor. WOW! I can't believe it!

I am so excited to start revving up our Diocese. I do not know how to create a web site, so for now, this BLOG will have to do. So please, add it to your favorites and check back often.

Please, also bear with me as I get started on this mission. I want to share with you all every step I take with Christ throughout this experience.
